Five years ago my husband and I planned to have a sabbatical year in the Rockies to escape our careers in the UK……………………five years later we are still here! There is something about these mountains – and not just the amazing skiing, wide open spaces and great people – that made it impossible for me to leave.

After only a couple of months living in Canmore I met Lauren and the rest is history! It wasn’t a difficult choice to trade my career in the UK for my new career and lifestyle here in Canmore with Rocky Mountain Weddings! I bring seven years experience working for an international law firm and being responsible for conferences and event management. Being able to use these skills to help plan your wedding in this majestic setting truly is my dream job! Each bride and groom is unique and you each have your own special image of what you want from your wedding day! Helping you to realise that image and create the perfect day is the best job satisfaction anyone could ask for.

When I am not in the office, delivering flowers and cakes or planning the details of your wedding day you can find me on the ski slopes in winter, where I also help with a children’s disability ski programme and on the golf course in summer. The skiing is good, the golf, well I have a long way to go………..

Star sign: Leo (King of the Beasts) – I am a Leo star sign through and through! I give wholeheartedly in everything I do, thrive in adverse conditions, I am a born organiser, am genuine and sincere…..oh and did I mention I like the nicer things in life!

An almost “local”, I have lived in Banff for 12 years. I hale from Ontario but have spent my whole adult life out west.

I have two young children and a husband that works more hours than I do! When I’m not working (which is rare!) I can often be found out and about with my kids, running on the Legacy trail, cooking or trying to squeeze in a weekend away somewhere.

I enjoy traveling and have visited many awesome countries within Europe, Thailand, Dubai, the Caribbean and Mexico and the southwest USA. I am a sun lover so any chance I have to get away from the everyday and bask in the sunlight, I take it! Although, Banff and Canmore do boast some of the sunniest, yet cold, winters in the country so sunshine is not hard to find around here!

I have worked in various jobs in Banff over the years from coffee shops to contractors but the main outcome has always been on the business end with my fingers in customer service and planning. I also have a small business that takes a great deal of organizing; so that is what I am able to bring to the table when I started at RMW.
